Homes with Better Pictures sell for More Money ?

Better Pics = Higher Selling Price for Mortgage Burlington and Home Loans Ontario

Better Pics = Higher Selling Price

A recent Yahoo real estate article suggests that especially for high end homes, having a better camera like SLR and taking higher end pictures can actually get more money for your home.

The concept is nothing new and has to do with the proper “packaging” of your real estate listing to return top dollar. Showing a property in its most positive light can help a prospective home buyer envision living in the new home easier. Providing high end photographs goes hand in hand with improving the curb appeal and basic home staging.

The high end home buyer is more discerning these days, so spending a little on the things that matter before listing the home will maximize the chance you sell your million dollar home at the best possible price.

The return on properly preparing a home for market is especially noticeable on higher end homes when a mere 5% price swing can translate to $50,000 or more. In the lower range of home prices, it is still important to declutter and do the basic home staging steps in order to sell the home faster, if not for a bit more money. Price does become more important the further down you go, and it did not seem to matter if you used a fancy camera or not in that case.

But for homes in the $600,000+ range and especially those near and over a million dollars, spending a few bucks on high quality pictures can pay dividends when the offer comes in.

Call Home Loans Ontario - Lee Anne Taylor for furtheer information on getting a mortgage for your new home in Burlington, Ontario.
